2017 FILM SUBMISSIONS OVERVIEW

One of TFF’s primary missions is to encourage, support and celebrate the work of Guyanese filmmakers, as well as to shine a light on films that speak to the country’s history, landscape and culture. To this end, TFF announces the opening of their call for submissions.

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS

Narrative and documentary features and short films – including films on the environment, music videos and animations. All submissions must be made in/about Guyana and/or by Guyanese filmmakers.

DATES + FEES

January 17, 2017: Submissions open          April 15, 2017: Official entry deadline
February 28, 2017: Early deadline                May 2, 2017: Notification Date

Early Bird: Standard Fee – $20 USD, Student Fee: $10 USD
Regular Deadline: Standard Fee – $25 USD, Student Fee – $15 USD

RULES + TERMS

1. Short films must be no longer than 30 mins
2. Music videos should be styled as short films
3. Made after January 1, 2016
4. Made in or about Guyana and/or by Guyanese filmmakers
5. Documentaries, narratives, animations are all welcome
Submissions must include the following:
a. Synopsis   b. Credits
c. Key Art – poster and production stills or screen shots (high resolution images)
d. Film – as a high resolution .mp4 or .mov file
