Documentary Filmmaking Workshop

Have an idea for a documentary but aren’t sure where to start?  Interested in learning more about the genre?

In this course, students will learn how to create short documentaries focused on stories in their own communities. The course will explore how fundamental storytelling methods used in fiction can be used to create immersive non-fiction film, and will draw on acclaimed documentary shorts which have been redefining the rules of non-fiction story telling. Students will also learn the fundamentals of interviewing subjects, conducting research and producing documentary shoots.

Dates: Monday, May 28-Saturday, June 2, 2018
Times: 5:00-9:00PM (Monday – Friday), and 2:00-6:00PM (Saturday)

Registration  Close Date: March 1, 11:59PM.  Acceptance will be first come, first served, with the first 20 applicants being guaranteed a spot.
