Born and raised in Newark NJ, as a first generation American of Guyanese and Nigerian heritage, Chelsea made it her mission from an early age to use art as a tool to regenerate positive and empowering images of Black people within the African Diaspora.

During her time at New York University, Chelsea has successfully created her own production company “O Chel$y Productions”, directed, produced, and wrote her own short film “The Love Below” as well as interned for major television networks like MTV, Nickelodeon, and The Rachael Ray Show. She has also interned for both The Source Magazine and Jones Magazine, where she got the opportunity to produce and direct content with musicians such as Meek Mill, Big Sean, Juicy J, Luke James, Chance the Rapper, Ab Soul and more. Additionally Chelsea has worked for Universal Music group as a College and Lifestyle Marketing Representative and has worked as a videographer for filmmaker and Creative Director Vashtie Kola who is best known for the Us Places music video she directed for Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Pharell. Chelsea challenges the boundaries of gender, beauty, and individuality embodied by the aesthetic of her company O Chel$y Productions. She is extremely ambitious and realistic at the same time; and is always able to deliver her vision. A natural leader and self-starter, she has quickly created a name for her self based on the press she has received on her latest film.
