Challenging the touristic gaze, the short film is drawn from my immediate environment, places and people I either hold close or have had the privilege to encounter, Felt But Never Glimpsed is about exploring the notion that the ordinary is extraordinary, that we don’t need pirates of our beautiful everyday to tell us what we have and how to perceive it. Paradise is nice but the mundane is truly real and worthy. We feel this intrinsically and yet we never fully realize it, experience it, live it out. Felt but never glimpsed. It’s time we celebrate what is and who we are, our everyday, in its rawest form.
FELT BUT NEVER GLIMPSED, will screen as part of the feelsprogram.
